Home Care Worker – County Meath, County Louth, Dublin north and surrounding areas

Job Context

Good People Homecare Limited works across the country in the heart of local communities providing dementia specific services and supports. We also work for disability services and at all times offering person cantered care.

GPHC is currently recruiting Homecare Workers and successful candidates will work in assigned family homes across Co. Meath and North County Dublin and surrounding areas. They would be reporting to Care services Manager.
Job Responsibility

The successful candidates will be responsible for providing person centred care to people with dementia in the client’s own home. This includes the elderly or children with disabilities. They will need good communication and organizational skills and be able to work on their own initiative.
Educational Requirement

A FETAC level 5 is desirable. Confidence in using IT/Email is also desirable.
Experience Requirement

To be successful in this position it is essential you possess previous experience of undertaking social and cognitive stimulation activates with people with dementia, older people, or people with intellectual disabilities.
Additional Requirement

The role holder must strictly adhere to all National Guidelines laid out in QSPD guidance and be always COVID aware. Training in PPE / Infection Control and other relevant areas will be provided by GPHC limited to the role holder entering a client’s home.
